Injury News: Squad in a good place ahead of Fulham

Scott Parker has faced the media ahead of Saturday’s top-of-the-table fixture with Fulham, stating there are no new injury worries.

AFC Bournemouth welcome the Premier League-bound Cottagers to Vitality Stadium for a Sky Bet Championship 3pm kick-off.

In the pre-match press conference, Parker shared an update on the players and discussed his belief that the squad is in a good place.

“We’re pretty good, to be fair,” he explained. “The only two that are probably not available are Jordan Zemura and Kieffer Moore.

“Both are progressing really well, hopefully they will be back within a week or ten days – both of them.

“Other than that, everyone else is in a good place.”

Parker also shared an update on Junior Stanislas, who has been absent for the Cherries since the home 3-0 victory over Cardiff City back in December.

He said: “Junior probably won’t make the season now; he’ll probably be done for the remaining part of this season.

“We’ll look now to get him ready and prepare him for the summer, and to get back for pre-season that way.”

The former England international went on to admit that the squad has benefitted from extra time to prepare ahead of five matches in two weeks.

“It’s definitely something we’ve not been used to over the last few weeks because the turnarounds have been very, very quick," Parker commented.

“With that, it’s practically just been recovery, rest and before you know it, you’re into another game.

“So, there has been a bit of breathing space to prepare for this game which has been nice.

“After this one, we go Saturday-Tuesday, Saturday-Tuesday, so we’re pretty manic after this game.”
