Scott Parker has delivered his latest injury news ahead of this weekend's trip to Preston North End.

With Nat Phillips, Jaidon Anthony and Ryan Christie all missing in last Saturday's 2-1 win against Stoke City, the head coach revealed that the trio are now back in training ahead of the game at Deepdale.

Speaking to the media in his pre-match press conference, Parker provided a full update on both the short-term and long-term absentees.

"Nat [Phillips] is fine. He was out with illness, but he's been back with us now," he said.

"As for Jaidon [Anthony] and Ryan [Christie], we'll have to wait and see. They've trained for three days and both looked very good and very sharp.

"We have to make decision ahead of the the weekend to see where we are. We don't want to risk them as there's still lots of games to be played, so we'll wait and see.

"As for the longer term lads, Junior [Stanislas] and Robbie [Brady] are back on the grass which is pleasing.

"They're both doing modified training and are working on getting to a level of being back with the group. Robbie is probably slightly ahead of Junior, but he moving in right direction too.

"Kieffer [Moore] is still in boot. He's doing well and right on track with his surgery he's had. There are no real shortcuts with that, but he's in a good place."

Parker was also keen to comment on Lewis Cook, who suffered an ACL injury away at Preston last season, the one-year anniversary of which comes round on Sunday.

"I'm sure there are no lasting effects and the last two games for Lewis I've been very pleased with," he continued.

"He really excites me in that position and he's got a huge amount of potential.

"It's always tough coming back from a long-term injury like he's had and, when he goes back to Preston, it's just another stadium and just another game for him.

"Hopefully he's past that psychological side of things with his injury and can just focus on the match this weekend."

Elsewhere, Jefferson Lerma will serve the third game of his four-match suspension, after being sent off in the 3-1 home win against Birmingham City last month.
