Scott Parker has spoken to the media ahead of this weekend's game against Middlesbrough.

The Cherries travel to the Riverside Stadium for a 12.30pm kick-off on Saturday, with the game being televised live on Sky Sports.

With plenty of talking points in the football world at the moment, Parker delivered some positive updates on his squad ahead of the game.

He began by giving an injury roll call on his squad and discussed those who had been sidelined in recent weeks.

"Philip Billing has had some training days under his belt," Parker said.

"He's in a better place than he was last week. We'll have to see nearer the game but he's in a good place for sure.

"Jordan Zemura and Junior Stanislas are back with the team as well, they've only had a few days back but they're certainly with the team which is a good sign.

"Adam Smith had surgery last week and came out of that pretty well but now he's on this road to recovery, so it'll be a few weeks before we see Adam.

"As for Lloyd Kelly, he's come through again. Last week was probably too early for him to start a football match so he came off the bench.

"He's now had a week's training and there's a decision to make on my behalf on whether we start Lloyd on the weekend or not."

With Jefferson Lerma set to serve the second game of his suspension, after being charged by the FA following a 2-2 home draw with Coventry City, Parker went on to discuss how the rest of his squad are fighting fit.

As Covid-19 cases are seemingly surging in the country and throughout football clubs, Parker was pleased to report no positive tests within the squad.

"No, we don't have any cases at the moment," Parker added.

"I think it's like anything at this moment in time, it's a delicate situation and one we've lived in for the last couple of years.

"It seems as though it's just rising a little bit at the moment. We're in an environment here and in football where we follow a lot of protocols.

"We're in a safe situation, if things change by that then we need to be adaptable.

"At this present moment in time, the last thing people probably want is for football to stop in any way.

"At the same time, if people's safety was coming into question then that might have to take place and I'm sure it will."

Tickets for the game with Middlesbrough will be available on the day, with more information here
