Scott Parker has provided a positive injury update ahead of the weekend’s game against Bristol City.

It'll be the first action at Vitality Stadium since before the break, with a 3pm kick-off scheduled in Dorset.

Following the latest round of international fixtures, Parker was pleased to report no fresh concerns and started by updating on Mark Travers, who pulled out of the Republic of Ireland squad at the start of the break.

“Mark seems okay at the moment,” Parker said.

“He’s come back into training and I think he'll be fine for the weekend. He pulled out of the Ireland squad with a slight quad problem, but he seems all good now.

“He’s been fantastic for us. The progression that he has gone through, the work that the boys have put into him, both Rob Burch and Gaz Stewart, he’s taken it all on board.

“From the ‘keeper I saw at the start of the season to now is very different. I’ve been very impressed with the progression and how he's done throughout the campaign.”

The head coach continued by discussing those who did go away and got minutes for their countries, with the full group back in training for the first time earlier on Thursday.

“Everyone has come back all fine. We had our first day back with everyone today,” said Parker.

“Some had a light session, but they’re all back in good shape with no real injuries. They’ve all had a good trip and got some minutes, so it’s pleasing that all the boys have played some part.

“In terms of the lads that were here, it’s probably the last time the team will have to relax a little. I think we got the balance perfectly and we had some down-time to recharge while also continuing to work hard.

“It’s been a good ten days for us, which perhaps has been made easier from the result and performance against Huddersfield. We’re now ready for the busy period coming up.”

Parker concluded by noting the long-term injuries and updating on the progress they’ve made over the break.

“Robbie Brady’s been training for last few weeks which is pleasing.

“Kieffer Moore has also started jogging on the grass start of this week. Hopefully we can try progress thing quickly with him as he’s now out of a boot.

“Junior Stanislas is still inside and progressing there, so we’ll keep monitoring that.”
