Speaking to the media ahead of the season’s finale, AFC Bournemouth head coach Scott Parker confirmed that Jefferson Lerma will miss the visit of Millwall.
During Tuesday night’s promotion-clinching clash with Nottingham Forest, the Colombian midfielder limped off in the second half.
In his pre-match press conference ahead of the Lions’ trip to Vitality Stadium, Parker shared an update on Lerma and the squad.
He explained: “He’s done his hamstring, so Jefferson Lerma won’t be involved at the weekend.
“He’s got a bit of a hamstring strain and he’s having a scan this afternoon, so we’ll know the full extent later.”
With Lerma set to miss the campaign’s conclusion, the head coach shared that there were no new issues with the rest of the squad.
“I think we’re okay, to be honest,” he said. “I don’t think that there’s anyone else out. We’re okay.”
The former England international also discussed his potential team selection on Saturday alongside sharing the injury news.
When asked if he is considering changes to the line-up, Parker stated: “Maybe but I’ll decide that tomorrow.
“There are options there for us to do that if I want to but like I said, we’ll decide that tomorrow.
“We experienced playing Millwall at their place and they’re really tough opposition, they can make life really hard for you.
“They’re an aggressive team and a physical team, so it’s going to be a tough game and they’ve got it all to play for as well.
“They need to get a result and hope that others fall their way; it would be an incredible achievement for them to get in the play-offs. So, it’s going to be a tough game.”
