AFC Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola gave an injury update on his two strikers, Dominic Solanke and Enes Ünal.

Solanke missed the midweek Emirates FA Cup tie against Leicester City with a knee injury, an injury he has been managing since the away game against Tottenham Hotspur on New Year’s Eve.

Ünal on the other hand made his first Cherries start against the Foxes at Vitality Stadium, but was forced off with an injury to his collarbone.

The boss says that there is still a decision to be made on Solanke but Ünal has trained with the group following his injury.

He said: “The MRI with Dom went quite well but he has not trained with us.

“We have one more training session before Sunday so I leave chances open, but it depends on how he manages the pain.

“It’s true he has pain in the knee, at least with the MRI everything is clear, there is nothing strange, it’s a matter of his sensations as today he wasn’t training.

“Tomorrow I find out if we have a chance with Dom. It’s a matter of if he still feels the pain, or if it’s improved. He will be the one making the decision.

“It’s a situation that isn’t new for Dom. Since the Spurs game away, it’s something that bothers him, he’s been managing it quite well but this week he’s felt more pain.

“We’re trying to help him as much as we can from the medical department. We will try until the end tomorrow and if he’s comfortable he may want to train but we’ll have to see how it goes.

“Enes was training today, he showed that he has pain but I hope he is at least available for Sunday.”

Elsewhere, Iraola also revealed that Tyler Adams is expected to build his recovery with some minutes for the development squad in the coming weeks.

He added: “Tyler is training with the group, doing almost everything with the group.

“He’s only been training one week so it’s not enough. He will probably play with the development squad some minutes, he needs to spend some time before returning.”
