In numbers: Best stats of 2020

It's been a bumper year for AFC Bournemouth, with a host of ups and downs for the club, here are some of the best numbers from 2020.

We've also included a couple of puzzlers for you to think over and see if your family and friends can figure out.

13 - Dominic Solanke led the goalscoring charts for the Cherries in 2020, scoring nine Championship goals, three in the Premier League and one in the FA Cup.

69% - The highest possession stat (69%) for the Cherries came in the 1-1 draw with Derby County in October, the lowest rate (27%) came in the last home match before lockdown, the 2-2 draw with Chelsea.

29 - Steve Cook was our captain of captains, skippering the Cherries on 29 occasions in 2020, one of seven players to lead the team out - can you name the other six?**

43 - A lower number of matches for the club than a usual year, the Cherries have won 16, drawn ten and lost 17 of their total games in 2020.

1,800 - After spending the first half of the season on loan with AC Milan, Asmir Begovic has returned and leads the squad for minutes played in 20/21, with 1,800 minutes.

16 years 38 days - Ajani Burchall became the third youngest league debutant for the Cherries in the mid-December win over Huddersfield, behind only Jayden Stockley and Jimmy White, the latter aged just 15 years and 321 days when he appeared in 1958.

62 - The club has netted 62 goals during the year, averaging out to 1.44 strikes per game.

1.81 - In 21 league games so far this season, Jason Tindall's side are averaging 1.81 points per match, compared to 0.89 in the Premier League in 19/20.

8 hours 29 minutes - The side's longest run without conceding came to an end in the final match of 2020, Henrik Dalsgaard's header at Brentford ending Asmir Begovic's impressive run of five successive shutouts.

1 - And forget not, there has been a trophy lift this season for the Cherries, who beat West Ham in a pre-season friendly to lift the Betway Cup (pictured).

Bournemouth join Werder Bremen, Juventus and Athletic Bilbao as previous winners of the trophy. West Ham - who compete with one other side in the competition each year have also won the silverware - but just once, on penalties against Mainz in 2018.
