In numbers: Best stats from win over Chelsea

Joshua King led the way with a double as AFC Bournemouth registered one of their most famous wins since joining the Premier League.

David Brooks and Charlie Daniels were also on target as Eddie Howe’s team lowered the colours of the six-time top-flight champions.

Although Chelsea dominated possession for long periods in the first half, they failed to find a way through as the Cherries defended resolutely.

King paved the way for a stirring second-half display from the hosts when he drew first blood just two minutes after the break.

The Norway international then turned provider for Brooks to double their lead before adding his second and the Cherries’ third 15 minutes from time.

Charlie Daniels came off the bench to complete the scoring with a header in stoppage-time.
