Eddie Howe has won the Barclays Premier League Manager of the Month for October.

The accolade comes after the Cherries were unbeaten in four top flight games, winning three and drawing one.

Impressive results include a 4-0 win over Watford at Vicarage Road, as well as a 3-0 victory over Slaviša Jokanović’s Fulham.

Howe has pipped Pep Guardiola, Chris Hughton and Maurizio Sarri to the award, which was presented with all first-team staff present.

It is the 40-year-old's third Manager of the Month award, having also won the accolade in March 2017 and January 2018.

Following the presentation, Howe spoke of his delight.

"It's a really nice feeling," he said.

"I’m really proud of the team, the players, the staff and the supporters. It’s a good thing to achieve in the Premier League because a good month can go a long way.

"It’s been a good start to the season.

"I think we’ve had a really good pre-season. We looked at all aspects of it and tried to redefine it and that's potentially been game-changing for us."

A combination of public votes and a panel of football experts decided October’s winner this week.
