AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe shared his post-match thoughts after his side twice came from behind to draw 2-2 with Crystal Palace.

Lys Mousset and Joshua King were on target to cancel out strikes from Luka Milivojevic and Wilfried Zaha, as the two sides were forced to settle for a point apiece.

Following the game, manager Howe touched upon the following points…

On the result

There’s never a dull moment with us. It’s not good for my health and was really edge-of-your-seat stuff.

We stopped Palace winning and we’re another point closer to where we want to be. We’ve had two defeats in 15 and that is great at this level so the players deserve credit.

On the individuals

Credit to the players for how we kept going, I knew today would be difficult. We’re indebted to our goalkeeper for some big saves, we waited for our chance at the end and Joshua King was there to put it away.

I’m pleased for the individuals that came on and made a difference. In this run, our subs have been crucial.

I feel for our defence at the moment, Steve Cook and Nathan Ake have done really well recently but we’ve had no clean sheet. That’s an area to improve.

On the comeback

Early in the game, we had some great moments, but Palace came back. I always felt we had a goal in us and we looked dangerous.

The comeback says lots about the attitude of our players and team. The players want to go the extra mile, I don’t think we’ve ever lost that and I think its shone again today.
