Germany blown away by Ramsdale's England U19s

Aaron Ramsdale's England under-19s surged into the European Championships knockout stages with a resounding win over Germany.

The already-qualified Three Lions secured a 4-1 victory in Tbilisi, Georgia, in a result which also knocked out their German opponents.

Goal-less at the break, a brace apiece from Nottingham Forest's Ben Brereton and Fulham's Ryan Sessegnon paved the way for the big win.

Tobias Warschewski's solitary reply for Germany did little to alter the result, and was the first goal conceded by Ramsdale in the competition.

Cherries 'keeper Ramsdale again started the Group B game and played the full 90 minutes.

Next up, England are set for the semi finals, where they will play the Czech Republic on Wednesday at 5pm (GMT).
