Nathan Ake headed home a corner on the cusp of full time to win the match 1-0, with Spurs reduced to just nine men after both Son Heung-Min and Juan Foyth received their marching orders.
The game also saw youngster Mark Travers make his Premier League debut and impress, as well as Ryan Fraser accumulating his 14th top flight assist this season, taking him above Eden Hazard at the top of the assists table.
