AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

The points were shared at Vitality Stadium as AFC Bournemouth and Reading played out a 1-1 draw this evening.

Dominic Solanke opened the scoring eight minutes in after a brilliant team move, the forward latching onto a delightful back-heel from Jefferson Lerma to slot home six yards out.

Orjan Nyland, who joined the Royals less than seven days ago, was called into action when Jack Stacey found himself in space down the right, pulling the trigger from a tight angle just before half-time.

After the interval, and the introduction of Jamal Lowe, the Cherries looked to double their advantage, the winger almost immediately playing in Ryan Christie, who saw his powerful shot saved well by Nyland.

Up the other end, Nat Phillips did excellently to cut out Tom Ince's cross, with Lucas Joao primed and ready to stab it home at the back post.

However, Ince provided Reading's key moment of the match seven minutes from time, rifling home a loose ball after a Royals corner, leaving Mark Travers with no chance and giving the visitors their route back into the game.
