AFC Bournemouth and Aston Villa treated supporters to a thrilling end-to-end Premier League contest with the points shared following a 2-2 draw at Vitality Stadium.

Andoni Iraola’s Cherries stunned the high-flying visitors by taking the lead through Antoine Semenyo in the tenth minute.

He tucked home his third goal of the season with a clinical right-foot finish after Ryan Christie had seized on an error by Diego Carlos to set up the chance.

Leon Bailey got Villa back on level terms when he cut in from the right and shot through a crowded penalty area ten minutes later.

Dom Solanke fired the Cherries ahead for the second time when he bagged his eighth goal of the season after being teed up by Milos Kerkez in the 52nd minute.

And having seen Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez make some fine saves to keep his team in the contest, the visitors were thankful to Watkins for heading home an equaliser in the final minute.
