Gallery: Passion at Villa Park

AFC Bournemouth had to defend ferociously at Villa Park, but earned their first win of the season in the Midlands.

The Cherries stunned the hosts by winning a penalty after just 45 seconds, which Joshua King dispatched.

King's opener was also the Cherries' quickest Premier League goal since Junior Stanislas scored on the final day of the 2016/17 season against Leicester (that was 59 seconds.)

A debut goal then followed, as Harry Wilson's long-range effort was deflected in off Tyrone Mings.

After that, the Cherries had to defend for their lives, something the manager was delighted with particularly in the second-half.

A number of heroic blocks from Steve Cook and Nathan Ake meant that the early goals secured a superb victory against Dean Smith's side.

Here are some of the best photos from Villa Park as Eddie Howe's side made it three wins from the last six away Premier League matches.
