The photos from Vitality Stadium after the Cherries' unbeaten start to the season came to an end with a 2-1 loss to Preston North End.

Goalless at the break, Philip Billing's free-kick drifted just wide while at the other end Lloyd Kelly blocked well from Josh Earl.

Into the second half and Preston took the lead with a bolt from the blue, Ben Whiteman finishing off a move to give the Cherries work to do.

The hosts were soon level, however. Fleet of foot, Philip Billing crashed home a shot from inside the box to restore parity.

The offensive push was purely from Bournemouth, but they were hit again in similar fashion to the first when Ali McCann sidefooted home from a low cutback.

Jamal Lowe saw a golden chance brilliantly saved by North End 'keeper Daniel Iversen late in the game, Scott Parker's team unable to draw level as their fine Champions opening ended.
