Gallery: Cherries triumph in Blades battle

AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

The best images from the Cherries' impressive 3-1 victory away to Sheffield United in the Premier League.

Marcus Tavernier gave Andoni Iraola's team the lead midway through the first half, capping off an excellent team move by applying the finish to Antoine Semenyo's through ball.

The away side dominated large swathes of the opening 45-minute period and things were made even better on the stroke of half-time.

Forward Justin Kluivert excellently pressed goalkeeper Wes Fodderingham to force a mistake and capitalised by claiming possession and finishing from a tight angle.

The second half began with the same intensity as the first had ended with, and Tavernier soon doubled his tally.

Teed up by Adam Smith, the attacker coolly bagged his second and the team's third in front of the travelling Cherries faithful.

Ollie McBurnie pulled one back in injury time for the Blades but it was not enough to prevent AFC Bournemouth picking up three top-flight points.

Flick through the above gallery to re-live the sensational win in Sheffield.
