Gallery: Cherries beaten by Palace

AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

AFC Bournemouth played host to Crystal Palace on New Year's Eve and were beaten 2-0 by the Eagles.

The fixture at Vitality Stadium was a tale of two set pieces with Jordan Ayew and Eberechi Eze converting corners.

Ayew headed home from Michael Olise's delivery around the 20-minute mark after ghosting into space in the Bournemouth box.

Olise would again be the provider for the second goal, teeing up Eze from a corner for the attacker to place the ball beyond Mark Travers from the edge of the box.

The result sees the Cherries drop to 15th in the top flight, remaining three points above 18th-placed Wolves.
