Within two minutes of the crowd joining as one to applaud David Brooks in his recovery, Dominic Solanke put the home aide ahead with a coolly slotted-home penalty after the striker himself had been fouled in the box.
Midway through the half and Philip Billing's cushioned header allowed Solanke to double his tally with a composed low finish, the hosts two goals to the good at the interval.
A third followed in the first half when skipper Lloyd Kelly hooked home his first of the season when he finished from Ryan Christie's cross.
