Gallery: Action from QPR defeat

Jonathan Woodgate suffered his first defeat as AFC Bournemouth caretaker-manager after QPR struck late to take the points at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.

Woodgate was hoping to see the Cherries build on Championship wins against Birmingham and Rotherham and the 0-0 draw with Nottingham Forest.

And after an encouraging first-half showing, the signs were promising that the Cherries would keep the heat on in the race for promotion places.

However, Stefan Johansen seized on a defensive error to open the scoring for the hosts in the 58th minute, somewhat against the run of play.

And although Shane Long restored parity when he netted from close range 11 minutes later, Todd Kane had the final say and drilled home the winner seven minutes from time.
