In a high octane first half Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling gave the visitors a two-goal lead, but on the stroke of half time substitute Harry Wilson - on for Charlie Daniels who looked to have sustained a concerning injury - brought the Cherries back into the game with a masterful free-kick.
Despite the hosts continuing to carry a threat going forwards, Aguero added his second and City's third to gave the away side the cushion they needed to see that game out.
