AFC Bournemouth brought down the curtain on the regulation 2020/21 season with a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Stoke City at Vitality Stadium.
Goals either side of half-time from debutant Will Forrester and Tommy Smith ensured the Cherries would end the campaign in sixth place in the Championship.
They will now face third-placed Brentford in a two-legged play-off semi-final with the first game taking place at Vitality Stadium on Monday 17th May.
Jonathan Woodgate’s team will then head to west London for the second leg on Saturday 22nd May bidding to win a place in the final at Wembley seven days later.
