AFC Bournemouth exited the Carabao Cup after going down 6-0 against Premier League Norwich City on Tuesday.
Head coach Scott Parker made no fewer than eight changes to his starting line-up as the Cherries looked to follow up their record-equalling 5-0 win over MK Dons in the first round.
But the Canaries, who lifted the Championship title last season, prevailed after showing their ruthlessness in front of goal.
They scored three well-taken goals in the space of 21 first-half minutes and added three more in the second half.
New signings Christos Tzolis and Joshua Sargent both scored twice, while Kenny McLean and Lukas Rupp were also on target.
