AFC Bournemouth
Dominic Solanke scored twice against his hometown club as AFC Bournemouth leapfrogged Reading to hit the Championship summit.
Solanke’s double helped fire the Cherries to a thrilling 4-2 victory – with Jason Tindall’s team clawing back a 2-0 half-time deficit at Vitality Stadium.
The hosts were on the ropes after Lucas Joao’s fourth-minute penalty and Sone Aluko’s goal had seen the Royals reach the break in the ascendancy.
But Solanke’s first goal sparked a stunning second-half comeback, with Arnaut Danjuma netting just three minutes later to make it 2-2.
Lewis Cook’s stunning 25-yarder, his first goal for the club, put the Cherries ahead before Solanke completed the scoring late on.
