AFC Bournemouth
Images from a boisterous Vitality Stadium as just over 2,000 returned to see AFC Bournemouth beat Brentford 1-0 in the first leg of the Championship play-off semi-finals.
In an open first half, Dominic Solanke hit the outside of the post with a header following Arnaut Danjuma's cross, one of a number of chances the Cherries created but were unable to take.
Steve Cook also forced a save with a header from a corner before his evening ended early before half-time due to injury.
The magnificent home roar six months in the making came after the break, a scything break led by David Brooks saw the ball slipped into Danjuma who produced a cool finish to give the hosts the first advantage of the tie.
Bryan Mbeumo came within an inch or two of notching a third goal against the Cherries this season, while Danjuma went close again with a free-kick.
Despite the attacking intent, Bournemouth were forced to settle for just a one-goal lead, a narrow advantage they will take with them to the capital on Saturday.
