February Player of the Month nominees announced

The four nominees for February's Michael Matthews Player of the Month have been revealed.

Mark Travers, Lewis Cook, Jamal Lowe and Todd Cantwell are up for the accolade following three straight Championship wins in a row.

Scott Parker's side currently sit second in the table, two points above third with four games in hand over Huddersfield Town.

Travers has won four consecutive Man of the Match awards for his recent performances, pulling off some superb saves in the 2-1 win away at Blackpool and a crucial last-minute stop to preserve the lead in the victory over Stoke City on Saturday.

Cook has featured in all four games this month, occupying and controlling the midfield. He's featured in a deep role in the absence of Jefferson Lerma, who remains suspended, and has been a key part of the undefeated league form.

Lowe had his standout moment of February against the Potters, scoring in the 89th minute to secure a valuable three points. Not only did it complete the comeback for Scott Parker's side, the goal also came just two days after the birth of third child, Ziggy.

Cantwell is the final player up for the accolade and has made a flying start to life in red and black, starting all three league games in February and coming off the bench for his debut against Boreham Wood. He's picked up two Man of the Match nominations for his efforts.
