Faivre returns from Lorient move

Midfielder Romain Faivre has been recalled from his loan move at French side Lorient.

The versatile 25-year-old, who can play on the wing or as an attacking midfielder, joined the Cherries in the summer before immediately heading out on loan.

The Frenchman scored ten goals and assisted four times in 34 appearances for Les Merlus across two loan spells, including five goals in 17 games this campaign.

Faivre began his professional career with Monaco before making his breakthrough at Brest, starring in Ligue 1 across 2021/22 with seven goals from 21 games.

He made a mid-season move to French giants Lyon, scoring three times in 28 appearances before joining Lorient on loan for the first-time last January.

Faivre was nominated for Ligue 1 Goal of the Month in August, scoring an audacious chip in a 4-1 win over Lille.

He will wear the number eight shirt and will join his Cherries teammates in training ahead of Thursday’s trip to West Ham.
