Boss gives his Watford reaction

AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe felt the side fell "well below our normal standards" in the home defeat to Watford.

The manager spoke to the media after the game and reflected on the following issues...

THE PERFORMANCE...

The whole game we were off, I felt we would've had a good chance if we'd have played well but we simply didn't.

We fell well below our normal standards and it's incredibly frustrating for me and the players as well, we all know we are better than that.

It's not a true representation of our ability.

ON WHY THE PERFORMANCE DIDN'T MEET STANDARDS...

I felt we turned the ball over far too easily, it was our achilles heel as we're usually so good with the ball.

It lead to numerous counter attacking opportunities for Watford and our tempo was low.

We wanted a quick game, but we were slow and methodical.

ON WHAT'S NEXT...

Well we didn't create any clear cut openings and that isn't like us. I can't remember two games lacking in opportunities for us.

We need to work on things, my position is not to panic and not to over react.

I have no doubt we're good enough but we need to show that in games.
