Details of Dubai training base

AFC Bournemouth are currently in Dubai on a warm weather training camp.

The Cherries flew out to the Middle East following Saturday’s dramatic 2-1 victory over West Bromwich Albion – a result which sees them tenth in the Premier League after just two defeats in 12 games.

Throughout the week, manager Eddie Howe will put his players through their paces at the Nad Al Sheba (NAS) Sports Complex.

And here is the lowdown on why it is the perfect place for AFC Bournemouth to prepare for the final eight games of the 2017/18 campaign:

  • The NAS Sports Complex is a world class training facility based in Dubai.
  • The complex is used for warm weather training camps, pre-competition preparation, post-competition recovery, rehabilitation and for athletes who are travelling between competitions.

  • It is a base to a wide range of elite teams and athletes from a variety of sports, including Real Madrid, Manchester United, AC Milan, Novak Djokovic and Greg Rutherford.
  • It boasts two FIFA standard football pitches, an IAAF standard athletics track, squash courts, padel tennis courts, beach football and volleyball, as well as an indoor arena for sports like badminton, volleyball, futsal and fencing.
  • The main football pitch is overlooked by a state of the art health club which includes a team altitude chamber, a team climate chamber, gym, swimming pool, ice chamber, recovery facilities, performance laboratory and medical facilities.
