Davis wins January's Player of the Month

Leif Davis has won January's Player of the Month award, sponsored by Michael Matthews Jewellery.

The Leeds loanee made three appearances across the month, as the Cherries won two and lost two of their four fixtures.

His standout appearance came against Yeovil Town in the FA Cup, a 3-1 win for Scott Parker's side, as Davis was subsequently voted Man of the Match by supporters for his efforts.

With fellow left-back Jordan Zemura away representing Zimbabwe at the Africa Cup of Nations, he also featured in the games against Luton Town and Hull City.

The 22-year-old won our poll on Twitter with 60.9% of the vote, beating off competition from Mark Travers (25.9%), Emiliano Marcondes (9.4%) and Jack Stacey (3.7%). A total of 6,911 votes were counted.

Davis was pictured receiving his award at Vitality Stadium ahead of Wednesday's Championship game with Birmingham City.

AFC Bournemouth would like it extend its thanks to Michael Matthews for sponsoring the award.
