AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

For a second consecutive month Arnaut Danjuma has been nominated for the Sky Bet EFL Championship Player of the Month Award.

Across seven appearances in April the Dutchman plundered five goals, including a first-half double against Coventry City and goals against Blackburn Rovers, champions Norwich City and away to Millwall.

The feats see Danjuma joint top of the Cherries' goalscoring charts in the league this campaign, joining Dominic Solanke in scoring 15 times so far.

The 24-year-old now stands with the other three Championship contenders listed below:

Arnaut Danjuma (Bournemouth)

A second straight nomination for the flamboyant forward who either scored or assisted ten of Bournemouth’s 18 goals in April.

The movement, pace, balance, all were on show in his five goals, which included a superb strike at Carrow Road.

Harlee Dean (Birmingham City)

The beating heart of a side which went through April unbeaten and moved clear of relegation trouble.

Solid in the tackle and robust in the air as just two goals were conceded in seven games, he also headed a late winner at Rotherham.

Daryl Dike (Barnsley)

The young American achieved his aim of firing Barnsley into the play-offs, leading the line with gusto, making runs and displaying an uncanny knack for scoring crucial goals.

His four strikes in six games included the winner at Huddersfield.

Lyndon Dykes (Queens Park Rangers) – striker

Six goals, including a flying header against Sheffield Wednesday, two assists and delightfully skilful link-up play as Rangers purred going forward throughout April.

All of it belied the fact that this is Dykes’ first season at Championship level.

The winner of the award will be announced on Friday 7th May.

The judging panel for the Sky Bet Player of the Month comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, EFL communications director Mark Rowan and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
