AFC Bournemouth duo Charlie Daniels and Jermain Defoe have been nominated for the Premier League’s Goal of the Season.
Both players won Goal of the Month for their efforts, Daniels in August and Defoe in December.
In the fixture with Manchester City at Vitality Stadium, the left-back latched onto Vincent Kompany’s header to smash a half-volley off the crossbar and in from a tough angle.
Three months later and it was Defoe grabbing the headlines after his lobbed effort against Crystal Palace saw him beat off competition from the likes of Phillipe Coutinho and Mesut Ozil.
The pair are nominated for Goal of the Season alongside Antonio Valencia, Sofiane Boufal, Wayne Rooney, Willian, Victor Wanyama, Jamie Vardy and Christian Eriksen.
