AFC Bournemouth midfielder Lewis Cook has been called up to the senior England squad for the first time for Tuesday night's match with Brazil.

The call-up is Cook's first with the senior Three Lions squad and will see the Cherries man transfer across from the under-21s squad.

Gareth Southgate's side play the selecao from Brazil on Tuesday night at Wembley, with the game set to kick-off at 8pm.

For 20-year-old Cook the senior call comes after the midfielder has played for England at every age group from the under-16s upwards, with the Bournemouth player captaining the under-20s to the World Cup title in South Korea over the summer.

Cook, who has started six games for the Cherries so far this season, also represented his country at under-21 level at Vitality Stadium in September.

If Cook were to appear against Brazil he would become the first serving Bournemouth player to appear for the senior England side.
