Christie plays 90 as Scotland win

Ryan Christie played 90 minutes for Scotland as they beat Moldova 1-0 to keep their World Cup dream alive.

Lyndon Dykes' goal from close-range ensured the hosts at Hampden came away with three points as they moved up into third in Group F.

The Cherries' latest signing did have a chance for Scotland mid-way through the second half, shooting over the bar after being set up by substitute David Turnbull.

Steve Clarke's side survived a late flurry of Moldova chances to hold on for the win, with Andorra up next on Tuesday evening.

Elsewhere, fellow new recruit Orjan Nyland was an unused substitute for Norway, as they were 2-0 winners over Latvia in Group G.

Erling Haaland and Mohamed Elyounoussi were on the scoresheet for the visitors in Riga.
