AFC Bournemouth have completed the signing of sought-after Scotland international Ryan Christie.
Christie has agreed terms on a three-year deal at Vitality Stadium and joins the Cherries for an undisclosed fee from 51-time Scottish champions Celtic.
The 26-year-old helped the Bhoys win back-to-back domestic trebles and played in the Champions League and Europa League for the Glasgow club.
Christie hit the headlines on the international stage when he netted Scotland’s goal in the Euro 2020 play-off final against Serbia which saw them qualify for a major tournament for the first time in 22 years.
Capped 20 times by his country at senior level, Christie becomes the Cherries’ seventh addition of the transfer window – and the club’s second on deadline day.
His arrival comes hot on the heels of Jamal Lowe joining from Swansea City earlier today and follows those of permanent recruits Emi Marcondes, Gary Cahill and Orjan Nyland as well as loan duo Leif Davis and Morgan Rogers.

“Ryan enjoyed a hugely successful stay at Celtic and was instrumental in them winning a host of trophies.
“His outstanding form at club level saw him gain international recognition with Scotland. He has already achieved a great deal in his career and is determined to achieve more.”
Born in the Highlands, Christie progressed through the ranks at Inverness Caledonian Thistle, the club his father Charlie Christie played for and managed.
During his time with Caley Thistle, Christie won the Scottish Football Writers’ Association young player-of-the-year award, made his debut for Scotland under-21s and helped them win the Scottish Cup.
His eye-catching form earned him a move to Celtic in 2015, Christie going on to play his part as they won the Scottish Premiership, Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup in 2018/19 and 2019/20.
Christie is currently away with the Scotland international team and will join up with his new Cherries team-mates at the culmination of the break.
