Cherries to play Southampton friendly in pre-season

AFC Bournemouth will make the short trip along the south coast to face Southampton in a pre-season friendly next month. 

Taking place on Tuesday 25th July at St Mary's Stadium, the Cherries will play their third fixture of the summer, following matches against Hibernian and Maccabi Tel Aviv while on tour in Marbella. 

Kick-off in Southampton will be 7.45pm and the fixture will provide supporters with the first opportunity to watch Andoni Iraola's team on home soil. 

The Cherries also have matches lined up against Atalanta (Saturday 29th July) and FC Lorient (Saturday 5th August), who also form part of the Foley Entertainment Group.

We have been given an allocation for the fixture and tickets will be sold in the below order. Supporters purchasing a ticket will earn an away point

Supporters under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult, with pricing for the fixture as follows:

Accessible and wheelchair information: 

We have been given 23 pairs of tickets for wheelchair users, with ambulant disabled seats to be taken from the main allocation. A personal assistant ticket will be issued free of charge where required. 

If supporters require step-free access to seats, those in Rows A & B in Blocks 43 and 46 are most appropriate. Once these seats are sold, Rows C and D in all blocks have the fewest steps to be climbed and can be accessed via the ground level vomitory.

Visually impaired supporters can apply for an audio descriptive service. Southampton recommend that supporters contact them on [email protected] prior to visiting, so they can provide you with an audio descriptive receiver.

General admission travel will cost £20 and the coach times for the fixture will be as follows.

Weymouth (Esplanade K1 Bus Stop)  3.45pm

Additional information 

Southampton have a "drop off and pick up area" situated outside the main reception, adjacent to the Ted Bates statue. This facility is available for vehicles up to one hour prior to the match and again for pick up 30 minutes after the full-time whistle. Please be aware that any vehicles parking in this area are likely to be towed away.

There will be a train station shuttle which travels to and from the stadium. Buses run every 20 minutes from Southampton Central and operate from the south side of the station (Platform 4). Buses start 2.5 hours before kick-off and will drop off supporters at Chapel Road. Return buses operate for 45 minutes after the final whistle and is priced at £3 for an adult return or £2 for a child return.
