AFC Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson has secured your votes and has been named April's Michael Matthews Player of the Month.

The 27-year-old scored three times in the month - an expert finish against Brighton and a crucial brace at Southampton.

Wilson also edged closer to two Premier League records during April in a standout month.

Ryan Fraser and Wilson are only one goal combination away from equalling the record of 13 set by Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton in 1995/96.

On a solely personal level, Wilson has scored and got an assist in the same game six times this season, and that total is also one off a top-flight landmark.

As a result, he secured 35% of the votes, with Fraser a close second on 28%.

It's the England international's first Player of the Month award of the season.

Previous winners of the monthly award were Ryan Fraser (August and September), David Brooks (October, December and January), Jefferson Lerma (November) and Chris Mepham (March).
