AFC Bournemouth duo Callum Wilson and Ryan Fraser have made Premier League history for their goal combinations this campaign.

Wilson and Fraser have combined for 12 goals in the top flight, with Fraser assisting Wilson’s late equaliser at St Mary’s in the 3-3 draw with Southampton on Saturday.

England striker Wilson’s predatory finish in the six-yard box meant that the pair have now surpassed Alan Shearer and Mike Newell’s 11 combined goals set in 1995/96 – that is the most ever in a 38-game season.

Fraser’s cross for Wilson in the derby was the seventh time he has set up the striker, with Wilson returning the favour five times to his team mate.

Now the highest in a 38-game campaign, the Cherries couple will set their sights on beating the all-time Premier League record, which was set by Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton in 1994/95 when there were 42 games in a season.

Wilson and Fraser can set a new record or at least equal it in the remaining two games of the season against Tottenham Hotspur at home and Crystal Palace away.

Top five goal combinations in a season
