AFC Bournemouth midfielder David Brooks will be ruled of action for up to 12 weeks with an ankle ligament injury.
The 22-year-old Wales international was forced off midway through the second half of the Cherries’ 3-1 friendly victory over Brentford on Saturday.
Following assessment by the club’s medical department, Brooks will now miss the opening months of the 2019/20 season.
