Brooks named October's Player of the Month

David Brooks has won the club’s Michael Matthews Player of the Month award for October.

The Welsh international has impressed wince his summer transfer from Sheffield United and his performances throughout the month saw the supporters vote him as their Player of the Month.

Brooks netted his first goal for the club in the opening game of October, curling home the Cherries’ opening goal in a 2-1 win against Crystal Palace.

He was also on the scoresheet during the emphatic away wins at Watford and Fulham.

Brooks claimed 46 percent of the supporter vote to win the award. Callum Wilson was runner up with 27 percent of the vote, with Jefferson Lerma third with 25 percent.

Representatives from Michael Matthews will be on hand to present Brooks with his award ahead of the Cherries’ next home game against Arsenal on Sunday 25th November.

Ryan Fraser had previously claimed the two previous awards for August and September.
