Brilliant Danjuma strike wins Goal of the Month

Arnaut Danjuma has won the first Strategic Solutions Goal of the Month award of the season for his brilliant winner against Blackburn Rovers.

The September award saw some fantastic goals nominated, but Danjuma was the winner of the supporters’ poll, accumulating 35.5% of the total votes.

The runner up, with 24.4%, was Charlie Daniels for his lob from the half-way line against Yeovil Town in a friendly for the under-21s.

Danjuma’s stunning strike against Blackburn was his first competitive goal for the club and also handed Jason Tindall his first competitive win as Cherries boss on the opening day of the season.

Speaking about the striker after the game, the Dutchman said: “Smudge played me the ball and I did what I could!

“When I got the ball I knew, I should go to my right foot and find the far corner. Luckily for me it went in and we got the win.

“I want to continue to be an important player for this team and want to contribute with more goals and assists this season.

"Hopefully there is a lot more to come from me.”

The club would like to thank Strategic Solutions for their continued support and as they sponsor the club's Goal of the Month campaign for the second consecutive season.
