AFC Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter has been called up to the provisional Republic of Ireland squad for their latest World Cup qualifiers.

Martin O’Neill’s side will take on Georgia and Serbia as they look to remain in World Cup qualifying contention, with the first fixture an away trip to Tbilsi to face the Georgians.

The second outing will be at the Aviva Stadium against Serbia, who currently are level on points with the Irish at the top of qualifying Group D.

Arter is also joined by former Cherry Eunan O’Kane in the initial squad.
