Anthony Taylor to referee Everton game

Anthony Taylor has been appointed to take charge of AFC Bournemouth’s Premier League showdown with Everton on Sunday.

The experienced Manchester-born official has refereed more than 200 games in the top flight and almost 1,600 in his career.

Taylor has shown 93 yellow and three red cards in 27 matches in all competitions this season.

He was in the middle for the Cherries’ Carabao Cup quarter-final defeat at Chelsea last month and when Eddie Howe’s team went down at Burnley in September.

Taylor also took charge when the Cherries triumphed 2-1 against Manchester United at Vitality Stadium in December 2015.

In 2015, he refereed the Community Shield final between Arsenal and Chelsea and the League Cup final between Chelsea and Tottenham.

Taylor will be assisted at Goodison Park by Gary Beswick and Adam Nunn, while Martin Atkinson is fourth official.
