Ake awarded for 100 Premier League apps

AFC Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake has clocked up 100 Premier League appearances, with his century of top-flight games falling against Watford earlier this month.

The Dutchman has been awarded with a special commemorative medal by Cadburys, in line with their relationship with the Premier League.

Currently, 23-year-old Ake sits on 102 Premier League appearances, with 71 of those coming with the Cherries since he first joined the club on loan in 2016.

His top-flight time at Vitality Stadium also includes an ever-present 2017/18 season, starting 37 times and coming off the bench once in that campaign where he won the AFC Bournemouth Players' Player of the Year award.

He has also made Premier League starts with Chelsea and Watford during his career.

Ake has scored nine top-flight goals in his time so far, the most recent being a header against the Hornets in the 3-3 draw in the first game of 2019.
