AFC Bournemouth winger Junior Stanislas pens new three-year deal

Written by Matt Joyce

AFC Bournemouth winger Junior Stanislas will remain at Vitality Stadium until summer 2019 after signing a new three-year deal.

The 26-year-old made 24 appearances and netted five times for the Cherries last term, helping to secure the club’s top-flight status.

However, Eddie Howe has revealed that the former West Ham man will have to wait for his Premier League return this season due to a groin injury.

"It's great to be able to secure Junior's future with us," commented chief executive Neill Blake.

"He is another player that made a big impact for us last season, so it's only right to reward him for his efforts.

"Supporters know what he can bring to the side and we are looking forward to seeing him back out on the pitch at Vitality Stadium very soon."
