AFC Bournemouth secure signing of Siriki Dembele

AFC Bournemouth have signed Siriki Dembele from Peterborough United for an undisclosed fee.

The 25-year-old can play as both a winger and a striker and has been in excellent form this year, registering five goals and two assists in 24 appearances for Posh in all competitions. He has signed a three-and-a-half year contract at Vitality Stadium.

Originally from the Ivory Coast, Dembele spent his formative years in Scotland and was part of academy set ups at both Dundee United and Ayr United. He signed his first professional contract for Grimsby Town in 2017, going on to make 34 appearances for the Mariners.

Dembele becomes the Cherries’ fourth signing of deadline day, following the arrivals of Freddie Woodman from Newcastle United, Nat Phillips from Liverpool and Kieffer Moore from Cardiff City.
