AFC Bournemouth agree deal for Le Havre forward Lys Mousset

Written by Matt Joyce

AFC Bournemouth have signed French striker Lys Mousset from Le Havre for an undisclosed fee.

The 20-year-old Frenchman has penned a four-year deal with the Cherries after a successful season in the French Ligue 2 last season.

A centre-forward capable of playing out wide or in the number 10 role, Mousset has also won caps for the French under-20 side, playing in this summer’s Toulon tournament.

AFC Bournemouth chief executive Neill Blake said, "Lys is another player with great potential that we are delighted to bring to the football club.

"We’re always planning for the future and Lys is not only a young player with exciting potential, but someone who had a massive impact for their club last season.

"We look forward to welcoming him to Vitality Stadium and believe he will only continue to improve under the tutelage of Eddie and Jason."
