Vincent returns to Torquay United

AFC Bournemouth midfielder Frank Vincent has returned to Torquay United for a second loan spell.

Vincent, who has signed a one-year extension with the Cherries, enjoyed a fruitful stay in Devon last season, helping the Gulls clinch promotion after they were crowned National South champions.

He made 11 appearances, including starting their final four games, as Gary Johnson’s team returned to the National League at the first attempt.

Vincent capped his full debut by being named man of the match in Torquay’s 2-0 victory over Eastbourne Borough in April, the win which secured the title.

He will remain at Plainmoor for the duration of the 2019/20 season, although the loan agreement does include a January recall clause.

Vincent lined up for the Gulls in their pre-season friendly win at Bideford on Tuesday and is expected to feature when they continue their warm-up preparations at Buckland Athletic on Saturday.

Former QPR and Barnet youngster Vincent joined the Cherries at the end of the 2016/17 season after impressing during a trial spell.
