Dominic Sadi returns to the starting line-up as boss Alan Connell makes one change for tonight’s Premier League Cup encounter with Norwich City.

Sadi, who came off the bench in the 4-3 win over Swansea City on Tuesday, replaces Gavin Kilkenny who has not travelled to East Anglia.

Midfielder Sadi has netted three times this season, twice in the Hampshire Senior Cup victory over Moneyfields and the Cherries’ opener in a 1-1 draw against Sheffield Wednesday in the Professional Development League.

Archie Harris and Kian Tydeman both take their place on the bench having recovered from injury, while lifelong Cherries fan Will Seeley, a member of the under-18 squad, is the substitute goalkeeper.

The Cherries do battle with the Canaries at their Lotus Training Centre with both teams bidding to defend unbeaten records in the Premier League Cup (7pm kick-off).

Doubles from Dan Adu-Adjei and Balraj Landa earned Connell’s team a 4-0 win in their opener at Charlton in September before they drew 0-0 with Wolves at Telford’s New Bucks Head last month.

Norwich, currently 13th in Premier League 2, followed up a 2-2 draw against Wolves on home turf in September with a convincing 5-0 victory over the Addicks in early October.

While the Cherries were elevated to category two academy status at the start of this season, the Canaries have been firmly established in category one for the past ten years.

AFC Bournemouth: Plain, Tonks, Boutin, Wadham, Kinsey, Greenwood, Moriah-Welsh, Sadi, Adu-Adjei, Dacosta Gonzalez, Williams.

Subs: Harris, Okoh, Landa, Tydeman, Seeley (g/k).

Norwich City: Ansen, Adegboyega, Wilson, Renecke, Forsyth, Brooke, Lima, Manning, Welch, Miles, Aboh.

Subs: McIntosh, Montóia, Duffy, Eze.
