Striker Ndjoli makes loan move

AFC Bournemouth striker Mikael Ndjoli has joined League One outfit Gillingham on a season-long loan.

The 20-year-old has linked up with the Kent club for the start of the new EFL season and the move includes provision for him to be recalled in January.

Ndjoli, who penned a new two-year contract at Vitality Stadium earlier this month, netted five times in 31 appearances during a productive loan spell with Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership last season.

He was used predominantly from the bench by Steve Clarke – who is now manager of Scotland – and hit four goals in his first five games, including three in the Betfred Cup.

Ndjoli also scored in a 5-0 win over Hamilton in March as Clarke guided Kilmarnock to third place behind champions Celtic and runners-up Rangers.

He joined the Cherries under-21 squad in July 2016 having previously been on the books of Tottenham, Watford, Brentford and Millwall.
